2.2 Feed Drive System

2.2.1 Overview

The puncher unit installed in the feed path between the host machine and finisher punches
holes in the paper when the paper stops temporarily. When the trailing edge of the paper
reaches the prescribed position, the puncher stops the paper to punch holes along the trailing
edge of the paper.
Names and roles of the motor, solenoid, and sensors used for punching are listed below.
