Cleaning the filter unit

CAUTION
Cleaning may only be carried out by maintenance personnel who
have been trained to deal with corrosive substances.
The filter is cleaned chemically by the effect of 1 % sodium hypochlorite
solution. The cleaning solution can be produced from various cleaning
agent concentrates by dilution. A selection of possible cleaning agent
concentrates are given in the chapter 8 A
.
MATERIALS

5.1.1 Removing and installing the filter

To clean the filter, remove it as follows. The cleaning of the filter is
described in section 5.1.2:
1 Open the door of the control unit housing.
2 Switch off the permeate pump (bring the permeate selector
switch into position 0).
3 Switch off the mains switch of PurCon IS.
4 Take the filter unit out of the sample.
5 Roughly clean the inside and outside of the filter unit with a jet
of water.
6 Undo the hose couplings (pos. 1 in Fig. 5-1).
