Operating Modes

The Hydran M2-X's user interface has three operating modes:
• First priority: Unacknowledged Alarms mode (see Section 3.1.2.1). In this
mode, the Hydran M2-X displays messages of unacknowledged alarms.
• Second priority: Menu Navigation mode (see Section 3.1.2.2). In this mode,
the user accesses the Hydran M2-X's Main Menu's options, parameters and
commands.
• Third priority: Main Display mode (see Section 3.1.2.3). In this mode, the
Hydran M2-X displays up to four screens of messages:
– Gas readings and trends.
– Moisture readings and averages.
– Readings of the optional analog inputs (present only if one or more analog
inputs are installed).
– List of active alarms.
Note: The Hydran M2-X automatically returns to the Main Display mode if the keypad
is not used for five minutes.
3.1.2.1 Unacknowledged Alarms Mode
Note: Alarms are explained in detail in Chapter 7. Alarm messages due to system fault
conditions are listed in Section 8.1. Appendix I presents the list of all alarm messages
that can be displayed by the Hydran M2-X and that can appear on the Perception
software.
In this mode, the display shows the list of detected alarm conditions that have
not yet been acknowledged; each displayed screen corresponds to one alarm
condition. If two or more unacknowledged alarm conditions are present, the Hydran
M2-X rotates through the screens; each one is displayed for five seconds. A screen
example is shown in Figure 3-3.
