junction box. It will also be seen from these illustrations that the wiring is
carried out on the earth return system, that the negative terminal of the
battery is earthed, and there is an automatic earth from the lamps, starter
and dynamo. There are, however, three separate earths that have to be
made, namely from the tail lamp, horn switch and junction box.
T h e principal points connected with the electrical equipm,ent o n which
the owner will require instruction are the instrument board, the fuses and
th'e various components.

T h e instrument board contains,
reading from left to right, an ammeter, a switch controlling the side and tail
and head lamp illumination; the speedometer (which is driven by the gear
box) placed in the centre of the instrument panel, o n the right of which will
be seen towards the upper edge of the panel, the ignition switch and beneath
this is a socket for inspection lamp, and o n the extreme right

oil circulation
indicator. This indicator has four slots which when the oil is not circulating
show red, but as soon as the oil pressure reaches a predetermined pressure
