minate t h e panel from behind. T h e rear view of t h e panel shows t h e c'entral
speedometer which has a small a r m attached to it for resetting t h e trip. T h e r e
a r e a number of connections that, of course, have t o b e made f r o m t h e
junction box t o t h e switchboard and these a r e indicated o n t h e wiring
diagram.
I t will be noticed that t h e two lamps that illuniinate the dials
and also t h e ignition tell-tale l a m p a r e fitted at the back of t h e panel into
clips, each having its own individual socket holder.
By this means a bulS
could easily b e changed a n d should ever t h e ignition tell-tale bulb p r o v e
defective o n e of the o t h e r bulbs can b e temporarily used in place of it. T h e
instrument panel fitted to the

I n t h e centre of
the facia board t h e combined H o r n a n d D i p p i n g switch is fitted, together
with a small but eficient panoramic mirror. T h e Speedorneter, located in
t h e right hand side of t h e facia board, is a composite instrument, recording
not only m.p.h. b u t also engine r.p.m. in 3rd and t o p gears. T h e wiring o f
t h e car is carried in a r m o u r e d tubing a t all essential points a n d t h e connec-
tions a r e m a d e behind th'e combined junction a n d cut-out. T h i s will b e
seen o n r'eference to Illustration N o . 43 o f the engine side of the dash-board.

good view of t h e junction box is shown in Illustration N o . 48.
I t is fitted with a n u m b e r of glass barrel fuses, a n d holes a r e provided in t h e
body o f the box t o carry spares. T h e fuses control the side and tail lamps,
t h e head lamps, auxiliaries such a s , t h e h o r n a n d o n e marked "
R
" which
is for t h e d y n a m o field. T h e cut-out which is m o u n t e d o n t h e same base as
t h e fuses, is provided with a cover and under normal circumstances need
never b e touched, its operations being entirely automatic.
