The rated operating voltages stated in the following table are based on the
standard values for networks with a grounded star point.
In ring networks (as found in Europe, for example) the rated voltage at the
transfer point of the power supply companies is the same as the value in the
consumer networks (e.g. 230 V, 400 V).
In networks with a star configuration (as found in North America,
for example), the rated voltage at the transfer point of the utility companies is
higher than in the consumer network.
For example: 120 V → 115 V, 240 V → 230 V, 480 V → 460 V.
The broad tolerance range of the DB1 variable frequency drive observes a
permittedvoltage drop of 10 % (i. e. U
the North American mains voltage of 480 V + 10 % (60 Hz).
The mains voltage rated data is always based on mains frequencies of
50/60 Hz within a range of 48 to 62 Hz.
The permissible power supply for the DB1 series can be found
in → section 1.4.3, "Features", page 17.
Every physical dimension included in this manual uses international metric
system units, otherwise known as SI (Système International d'Unités) units.
For the purpose of the equipment's UL certification, some of these dimen-
sions are accompanied by their equivalents in imperial units.
