3.8.5 VPN > L2TP
L2TP ("Layer 2 Transport Protocol") is a form of VPN developed by Cisco Systems that can carry
traffic not seen in most other tunnelling protocols. Because it is Layer 2 based, it can "bridge"
physically separated networks and make them appear as a single network. This protocol can
transport non-IP packets such as ARP and other broadcast-based protocols.
Multimax can be both an L2TP client and/or an L2TP server.

Click the toggle button to
enable PPTP VPN server.
Enter the username which will
be used by L2TP client.
Enter the password provided
by your PPTP server.
Select
from"pap","chap","mschap
v1" and "mschap v2".
Click the toggle button to
enable NAT option for PPTP.
Turn on to use tunnel as
default gateway
The subnet used by the
remote end of the tunnel
(remote end local LAN)
The subnet mask used by the
remote end of the tunnel.
