20. Status Toggles

Beneath the track control areas are five status toggle buttons. You can click each button
to toggle the setting of the entire column of buttons directly above it.
Click this status toggle:
MUTE
SOLO
AUTOMIX STATUS
TRACK STATUS

The Playlist's Measure Bar

Just above the playlist is a gray strip called the "measure bar." The lines in the bar show
the project measures as defined by the project tempo map (Page 298). The time bar also
contains markers, CD track markers, edit point flags, punch points and loop points.
You can place any of these items at the desired locations using onscreen tools. To learn

SOLO status toggle
To:
un-mute all currently muted tracks.
un-solo all currently soloed tracks.
set the status of all Automix tracks to the same value.
set the TRACK STATUS of all tracks to the same value.

CD Track Marker

Auto Punch Points
Punch in
Punch out
When Auto Punch is on, a red bar
connects the red punch points.

edit points—see Page 408.

loop points—see Page 393.
reposition an object in the measure bar—by moving your cursor over the object so the
cursor becomes a pointing finger, and then dragging to the desired new location.
clear an object in the measure bar—holding down CLEAR on the VS-2400CD,
positioning the mouse cursor over the object until it turns into a pointing finger,
and then clicking the object.
