Thank you, and congratulations on your choice of the VS-2480DVD (the model with a built-in DVD
multi drive).
The owner's manual contained in this package explains the use of a CD-RW drive with the
VS-2480HD and the VS-2480CD. Most operations are the same on the VS-2480DVD with a built-in
DVD multi drive. Please read "CD-RW drive" in the VS-2480 manual as "DVD multi drive."
This document provides supplemental information that does not appear in the VS-2480's manual.
* Before using this unit, carefully read the sections entitled:
"IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS" (this
Supplementary Manual p. 2), "USING THE UNIT
SAFELY" (Owner's Manual p. 2–3), and "IMPORTANT
NOTES" (Owner's Manual p. 4–6).

◆ About the version of system software ◆
The operating system of the VS-2480DVD is
version 2.5 or later and is compatible with the
VS8F-3 Plug-In Effect Expansion Board (sold
separately). You can install and use a VS8F-3
immediately upon purchase of the VS-2480DVD.
Please read the manual for information
regarding the installation of the VS8F-3.
Also, please read "VS-2480CD" in the owner's
manual of VS8F-3 as "VS-2480DVD."
