Cylinder Head Gasket With Viton Sealing Ring - Mercedes-Benz 603 Service Manual

The cylinder head gasket for the turbo-engines
has stainless steel inserts around the combus-
tion chambers (arrow).
The combustion chamber inserts on the standard
gaskets installed on naturally aspirated engines
consist of normal sheet steel.
Only the cylinder head gaskets with stainless
steel inserts are available as replacement parts
for both the naturally aspirated and turbo-
engines.

Cylinder head gasket with Viton sealing ring

A Viton sealing ring is inserted at the rear oil
return passage to prevent oil leakage.
A 1st version with sheet metal jacket
B 2nd version with V~ton sealing ring
