Vehicles with automatic transmission:

30 Unhook shift linkage on transmission and
disconnect connector for starter lockout, back-up
light switch (S1611).
30.1 Disconnect connector for kickdown
solenoid valve on right side of transmission.
31 Unbolt speedometer shaft or speedometer
inductive sensor (arrow) and remove the two
bottom hex. head bolts for the starter. Position
speedometer shaft or connection wire to side.
32 Unbolt engine speed sensor (L3) and starter
ground strap (arrow) on chassis.
33 Remove hex. head bolts (arrows) for lateral
exhaust support on transmission and remove
support.
34 Unbolt heat baffle plates on center tunnel.
