Decide whether you want to use "Basic Safety" or "Extended Safety".
If the only inverter safety function you want to use is STO, choose "Basic Safety".
If you use SS1, SLS or several safety functions, choose "Extended Safety".
Choose one of the following three alternatives after you have activated the safety functions in your application: F-DI,
PROFIsafe or both interfaces.
Outcome of commissioning
Activating STO via F-DI
Acknowledge safety faults after activating and deactivating
STO via standard DI.
Activate STO via PROFIsafe.
Acknowledge safety faults via PROFIsafe.
Activate STO both via F-DI and PROFIsafe.
Acknowledge safety faults:
via PROFIsafe
after activating and deactivating STO via standard DI
Activate STO, SS1 and SLS via F-DI.
Only one SLS level 0.
Acknowledge safety faults:
via F-DI
after activating and deactivating STO via standard DI
Activate STO, SS1 and SLS via PROFIsafe.
Up to four SLS levels 0 ... 3
Acknowledge safety faults via PROFIsafe.
Transfer the status of the fail-safe inputs via PROFIsafe.
Activate SS1 and SLS via PROFIsafe.
Up to four SLS levels 0 ... 3
Activate STO both via F-DI and PROFIsafe.
Acknowledge safety faults:
via PROFIsafe
after activating and deactivating STO via standard DI
Transfer the status of the fail-safe inputs via PROFIsafe.
