The status bit of a fail-safe input in status word 2 is always 0 if one of the following two
conditions is fulfilled:
● The relevant fail-safe input is not used.
● The inverter has deactivated the relevant fail-safe input due to a discrepancy.

Configuring communication in STEP 7 (telegram 30)

Hardware configuration
In STEP 7, the inverter is integrated in PROFIsafe communication via HW Config.
● Configure your SIMATIC CPU (e.g. a CPU315F-2 PN/DP) with a PROFIBUS network.
● Insert the inverter in the PROFIBUS network via its GSD.
● Assign the PROFIsafe telegram to the first slot of the frequency inverter.
● Assign standard telegram 1, for example, to the other slots of the inverter.
