Parameterizing SLS

Defining the F-DI status

If you do not want to transfer the status of the fail-safe inputs via PROFIsafe, go straight to
the section Activate settings (Page 101).
If you want to transfer the status of the fail-safe digital inputs via PROFIsafe, you first have to
configure the relevant PROFIsafe telegram; see the section Configuring communication in
STEP 7 (telegram 900) (Page 66). In STARTER, you then have to specify which F-DI-Status
you want to transfer via PROFIsafe.

– Setpoint speed limit as a % of the monitoring threshold.
This parameter defines the upper speed limit when SLS is active.

– Monitoring threshold
Enter the load-side speed to be monitored. The inverter calculates the maximum
motor speed on the basis of this parameter and the gear ratio.

– Response when monitoring is activated. Further information on the stop responses
can be found in the section STOP reactions (Page 137).
– A functional description of monitoring can be found in the section Selecting SLS when
the motor is switched on (Page 24).
