To check the symmetry of the hook:
1. Tilt the machine head ( p. 19).
2. Tighten the gage (2) using the screw (1).
3. Assemble the pointer (3) as shown.
4. Lock the machine in place at position E ( p. 16).
5. Align the pointer (3) with the marking on the gage (2).
6. Turn the handwheel to position F.
