4.4.2 Configuring Source MAC Address-based ARP Packet
Suppression
Procedure
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
arp speed-limit source-mac maximum maximum
The rate for ARP packet based on the source MAC address suppression is set.
Step 3 Run:
arp speed-limit source-mac [ mac_addr ] maximum maximum
The rate of ARP packets from the specified MAC address is set.
If the MAC address is specified, the ARP packet suppression rate is the value of maximum in
step 3; if no MAC address is specified, the ARP packet suppression rate is the value of
maximum in step 2.
By default, the ARP packet suppression rate for all MAC addresses is 0 pps, indicating that the
rate of ARP packets is not limited.

4.4.3 Configuring Source Address based ARP Suppression

Context
A user may have special requirements; therefore, you can set the source address based
suppression rate for ARP packets with a specified source IP address.
