The rate threshold of ICMP packets is set on an interface.
By default, the rate thresholds of ICMP packets is 100pps on an interface or globally.

This section describes how to configure the storm control function.

9.4.1 Establishing the Configuration Task

This section describes how to establish the configuration task of the storm control function.
Applicable Environment
When receiving unknown unicast packets, multicast packets, or broadcast packets, the S3700
forwards the packets to all the interfaces except the receive interface because the S3700 cannot
determine the outbound interface according to the destination MAC address of packets. In this
case, storms may occur on the network. The forwarding performance of the S3700 is thus
reduced. The storms need to be controlled so that the S3700 can still forward packets in unicast
mode when traffic bursts.

check the configuration of traffic suppression.
