Servicing the ID PROM

The system ID PROM, sometimes referred to as the SCC, provides the server module
with the host ID, MAC addresses, and some Oracle ILOM configuration information.
The system ID PROM does not typically require replacement. However, if you
replace the ID PROM, be aware that the host ID and MAC address will change.
When you replace the enclosure assembly, swap the system ID PROM from the
original enclosure assembly to the replacement enclosure assembly. This action
ensures that your server module will maintain the same host ID and MAC address.
