Table 2.1 shows possible ethernet connections for clusters that use a single
master controller.

If a secondary connection is used and the primary connection fails, the system
will automatically switch to the secondary connection.
Clusters that use an alternate master use onboard ethernet connections for
both master and alternate as shown in Table 2.2. Dial up and serial
connections are not supported.

The master controller connects to the host over the primary cluster
communication path. The secondary cluster path to the Alternate master is
used if Master or primary path fails.
