BASIC OPERATION
Call procedure
When your system uses tone signaling (except
CTCSS and DTCS), a call procedure may be
necessary prior to voice transmission. The tone
signaling employed may be a selective calling system,
which enables you to call only specific stations, and
prevents unwanted stations from contacting you.
1. Select a channel according to your system
operator's instructions.
• This may not be necessary, depending on the
presetting.
• Refer to page 3-4 for details.
2. Push [Call].
3. After transmitting, the remainder of your
communication can be carried out in the normal
way.
