Setting the VOX Delay

The VOX Delay is the period of time the transceiver
continues transmitting after the user stops speaking,
and then the VOX switches to receive.
<Menu operation>
Portable: For the Ten-key and the Simple key types
Mobile: For the LCD types
( Menu > Functions > VOX Delay)
1. Push [Menu] to display the Menu screen.
2. Push [Left] or [Right] to select "Functions," then
push [OK].
3. Push [Up] or [Down] to select "VOX Delay," then
push [OK].
4. Push [Up] or [Down] to set the VOX Delay, then
push [OK].
L The setable range is 0.5 ~ 3.0 seconds in 0.5 second
steps.
5. Hold down [Back] for 1 second to return to the
standby screen.
