Error 44 - Clearing a SPM Overflow Error

8G Gauntlet StepMills + LCD Console
The "XCB SPM OVERFLOW" error occurs when the "Step Per Minute" count is higher than the level
selected by the user, intended as a safety measure. If the 8G Gauntlet LCD Console software version
is below 1.03, there is potential for the console to display a SPM Overflow error. This SPM Overflow
error can occur on the 8G Gauntlet LCD Console during inactivity, or while the machine is in use.
Note: If the user forces the steps to move faster than the coded steps per minute of the specific
resistance level, an "XCB SPM OVERFLOW" error will be triggered. Power-cycling the unit will clear
this error, but users should be educated on the proper use of the unit. This error does not necessarily
indicate a problem with the 8G.
To clear this error, follow the steps below for updating the console software. If the unit already has
V1.03 software or higher then please skip to step 7:

Load this file onto an empty USB drive.
With the 8G Gauntlet on, plug the USB drive into the console and press 0, 2, and OK buttons all together at the same

time to enter maintenance mode.
Navigate through Maintenance Mode using the +/- keys on the console, or hot bar toggle keys, until you see Update

Software and then press OK. Follow the on screen instructions on inserting the USB stick and updating the software.

Once the console software has been updated and the console resets, it may be necessary to power cycle the machine.
When the machine is back on, enter maintenance mode and verify the Console Software displayed is Version 1.03.

Based on field testing, the 1.03 and any software version beyond should resolve the SPM Overflow error IF the error is
due to a software issue..
