6. Remove the drive chain master link (Fig. 5) and
the drive chain. This will allow the steps to turn
without releasing the brake.
REMINDER: Be sure to reconnect the drive chain
before securing the shrouds when finished with
the step chain replacement.
7. Using a 3/16" allen key, loosen the user left lower
pillow block bearing (Fig. 6). Repeat this step for
the user right lower pillow block bearing.
