Target start weight is 50lbs, if the steps do not move then check the following and make any necessary ad-
justments to ensure the steps move every time
a.
If the alternator belt too tight, adjust the belt to the correct tension with
b.
Does the drivetrain make excessive noise? (Doc. #637-4328)
c.
Make sure the blue wires from the load resistors to the LCB are secure
d.
Does the brake receive 24VDC from LCB? (Doc. #637-4523)
e.
Are the data cable & alternator harnesses secure?
f.
Check the step chain deflection (1"-1.25" nominal)
g.
Make sure drive chain has sufficient clearance between the sprocket and the body of the gearbox.
(Doc. #637-4508)
h.
Check the drive chain deflection (3/4" nominal)
i.
Look for signs of excessive grease or misalignment in the brake assemblies. (Doc. #637-4306)
If this issue exists, you may find the steps difficult to move even with a user 150+ lbs and this
indicates that the clutch plate almost certainly needs to be cleaned.
Excessive grease mixed with brake dust will prevent the brake from disengaging with almost all users
