The printer does not
print from the
computer.
Poor print quality.
Power is on, the fan is
silent, but nothing
lights on the operator
panel.
The printer produces
status pages, but
data from the
computer is not
printed normally.
A lot of problems you might encounter with this printer you can deal with
yourself. This section explains how to correct these problems. Therefore, if
some kind of problem occurs, check the following before concluding your
printer is broken.

indicator.
Check the ATTENTION
indicator.
A maintenance message appears in the
message display.
Check that the power cord is properly
connected to the power outlet.
Check that the power switch is in the ON ( | ) position.
Check the interface cable.
Check program files and application
software.
If the problem persists after checking and applying the corrective
measures above, please contact your Kyocera Mita dealer.

Turn the printer off, plug in the power cord
securely and turn the printer back on.
Connect both ends of the interface cable
securely. Try replacing the printer cable. For
details on the parallel interface and USB
interface for this printer, see
Try printing another file or using another
print command. If the problem occurs only
with a specific file or application, check the
printer settings for that application.
