SUSPENSION SETTING

SPRING PRE-LOAD ADJUSTMENT
The rear suspension spring pre-load is adjustable. This adjust-
ment is performed by changing spring set length.
Loosen the locknut 1.
Adjust the spring set length by turning the adjuster 2.

Do not set the spring length out of the specified range.
Tighten the locknut 1.

REAR SHOCK ABSORBER DISPOSAL

(
* The rear shock absorber unit contains high-pressure
nitrogen gas.
* Mishandling can cause explosion.
* Keep away from fire and heat. High gas pressure
caused by heat can cause an explosion.
* Release gas pressure before disposing.
GAS PRESSURE RELEASE
Remove the valve cap.
Press the valve with a screwdriver to bleed out the nitrogen
gas.

* Releasing high pressure gas from the rear shock
absorber unit can be hazardous. Never perform any
servicing until the nitrogen gas pressure has been
released from the rear shock absorber unit.
* When releasing the gas pressure, place a reg over
the gas valve and use the tip of a screwdriver to
press the valve. Do not use your finger to depress
the gas valve, and be sure to direct the valve away
from your face and body.
* Be sure to always wear eye protection when perform-
ing this procedure.
