Observe static precautions. Use an antistatic
wrist strap. Hold the processor only by its
edges.
2. Press the processor latches toward the center of the
S.E.C. cartridge to free them from the retention module
(A).
3. Lift the S.E.C. cartridge upward, out of the retention
module.
4. Put the processor in a piece of conductive foam and
store in an antistatic package.
5. Proceed to the next section, "Installing the Pentium II
Processor."

1. Power off the system and remove the left side panel as
described earlier in this chapter.
