Configuring ATM F5-OAM End-to-End Loopback

A Passport 8672ATME Module, by default, replies to ATM F5-OAM Loopback
requests received. However, the transmission of F5-OAM Loopback requests and
the processing of F5-OAM Loopback replies received require enabling this
feature on a PVC by PVC basis. It is recommended that you enable ATM
F5-OAM on all the PVCs configured on the PP8672 ATM port, in order for upper
layer protocols such as MLT and OSPF to be immediately aware of the port down
status or link failures.
You can configure the ATM F5-OAM End-to-End Loopback parameters with
Device Manager or the CLI. For information on how to configure this feature with
the CLI, see
