Desk Charger

The desk charger is used only for charging. The charger is delivered with a plug-in
power supply and is connected to a standard wall socket.

Desk PDM Charger

The desk PDM charger is used for charging the phone, as well as for software down-
load, and synchronization of parameters. The desk PDM charger is delivered with a
plug-in power supply and is connected to a standard wall socket.

Using the desk PDM charger for software download and synchronization of parame-
ters is most often done by system administrators, and requires that the charger is con-
nected either to the LAN and CPDM3 or to a PC with the WinPDM software
application installed. For a short description of CPDM3 and WinPDM, see 23.5 Win-
PDM and CPDM3 on page 114.
The desk PDM charger is connected to a PC through the USB or one of the network
connectors, see figure 20 on page 110. When you connect the charger with a PC
through one of the network connectors, the charger acts as a switch, making it possi-
ble to connect the other connector to the LAN.
