Installing the Optional PCMCIA Card
To install an optional PCMCIA card in the computer, follow the steps below and refer to
Figure 4-3.
1. To install a PCMCIA card into PCMCIA card slot 1, carefully insert the card,
making sure the card is right side up and the contact surface is inserted first (Fig-
ure 4-3).
2. When the card is almost fully seated, you will feel some resistance. Press gently
until the eject button pops out. Do not force the card into position.
3. To install a PCMCIA card into PCMCIA card slot 2, carefully insert the card,
making sure the card is right side up and the contact surface is inserted first (Fig-
ure 4-3).
4. When the card is almost fully seated, you will feel some resistance. Press gently
until the eject button pops out. Do not force the card into position.
5. Close the expansion card cover.
6. Install the battery pack as described in section 4.2.
