Optional PCMCIA Card
Removing the Optional PCMCIA Card
To remove an optional PCMCIA card from the computer, follow the steps below and refer to
Figure 4-3.
1.
Turn off the power to the computer. Disconnect the AC adapter, power cord and
all external cables connected to the computer.
2.
Remove the battery pack as described in section 4.2.
3.
Open the expansion slot cover.
4.
Press the eject button of the optional PCMCIA card slot 1 and the optional PCMCIA
card will pop partially out (Figure 4-3).
5.
Grasp the card and pull it out of the computer (Figure 4-3).
6.
Press the eject button of the optional PCMCIA card slot 2 and the optional PCMCIA
card will pop partially out (Figure 4-3).
7.
Grasp the card and pull it out of the computer (Figure 4-3).

CAUTION: DO NOT touch the connecting edge of the PCMCIA card. Debris or oil in
or on the connector may cause access problems.
