PILOT'S OPERATING HANDBOOK
SHUT-DOWN (2/2)
IN CASE OF HIGH OAT [ABOVE 35° C (95° F)], IT IS RECOMMENDED TO PERFORM
30 SECONDS DRY MOTORING RUN AFTER SHUT-DOWN TO IMPROVE COOLING OF THE
BEARING CAVITIES AND PREVENT OIL COKING (REFER TO PARAGRAPH "MOTORING").
- ESI-2000 - NORMAL PROCEDURE
No pilot action required for normal shutdown. The ESI-2000 will shut down within 5 minutes.
- ESI-2000 - MANUAL PROCEDURE
The ESI-2000 can be manually shut down when in the discharge mode to conserve battery power :
. Remove all airplane power from the ESI.
. Press any key (button) as stated by the on screen message.
. Press the M (Menu) button repeatedly until shutdown menu is shown.
. Press and hold the + (Hold) button until "SHUTTING DN" message is shown in the upper left corner of the
screen.
