Troubleshooting
If your telephone is not functioning as it should, try at first to find the fault in the following ta-
ble.
The following tips should help you correct the fault:
Problem
No dialling tone.
No ringing tone heard after
dialling.
Full functionality is not
available.
No connection or wrong
number when dialling from
memory.
No dialling tone heard.
Display shows
»Faulty install.«.
Even if you have followed all the instructions correctly, faults may occur which are caused
by the exchange or installation errors.
Care
Your telephone is designed to provide a long, maintenance-free life.
Please note
• Do not dismantle the phone and try to repair it yourself. Swisscom is responsible for repairs.
Contact the fault service (Tel 175).
• Clean the outside of the phone at regular intervals, using a damp, soft cloth. For heavy soil-
ing, dab a little washing-up liquid on the cloth. Do not use abrasive agents or solvents since
they may damage the housing surface. Make sure no liquid penetrates the phone during
cleaning.
Possible Cause
The connection cord is not
correctly plugged in.
The connection type
(PBX operation) is not correctly
set.
The phone is set to emergency
mode.
The connection type has not
yet been set.
Faulty ISDN installation, no
terminating resistance on the
S bus, or network fault.

Remedy
Unplug the cord and plug it in
again.
For PBX operation, make sure
your phone is set to the right
connection type.
Deactivate emergency mode.
For PBX operation, make sure
your phone is set to the correct
connection type.
Contact Swisscom or call your
network operator's hotline.
