Page 6 NEW SR TYPE SUPER SLOW OSCILLATION (CLOSE-WINDING SYSTEM) The Super Slow Oscillation system layers the line onto the spool in a tight, even pattern, reducing the gaps between the line wraps that can cause unwanted friction to yield a reel with a more powerful cast. The new SR type design is the result of continued research to find the balance point where line trouble and friction occurring during release are reduced by optimizing the rate of oscillation along the length of the spool.

Page 13 FLOATING SHAFT The FLOATING SHAFT, which is one of the secrets of the reel's performance, is the result of adopting a bearing to support the spool shaft and separate it from the pinion gear. The system uses a one-way roller bearing that has been beefed up with extra thick rollers and race. Care and maintenance Under no circumstances should grease be applied to the roller bearings of the Super Stopper. This will impair the movement of the roller and may cause the stopper to cease functioning.

Page 28 HOW TO ADJUST WINDING SHAPE OF LINE Upon delivery, the line is set to wind to an optimum shape. However, with the help of attached washers, the winding shape can be adjusted as illustrated below to suit individual preferences. With lines made of fluorocarbon and other hard substances, it is best to set the line to wind more to the front of the spool to avoid the problem of backlash.
Page 29 COLLAPSING THE HANDLE The handle assembly is a screw-in type. To collapse the handle, begin by setting the stopper knob to the “on” position. Next, reverse crank the handle a few times, then pull out the handle shaft slightly, and fold the handle toward the grip side. To extend the handle do the same in reverse order.
