Thissectiondescribesthecasewhenself-adhesivelabelsare
separatedfromthelinerimmediatelyafterprinting,which
requiresanoptionalinternallinertakeupunit.Formore

alsoknownas"Self-strip"operation.
Peel-offcanonlybeusedforself-adhesivelabelswithliner.
Anoptionallabel-takensensorcanholdtheprintingofthenext
labelinabatchuntilthepresentlabelhasbeenremoved.For
moreinformation,see"LabelTakenSensor"onpage71.
Note:Peel-offoperationsetshighdemandsonthemediafor
properlabelstiffness,releasecharacteristicsoftheadhesiveand
liner,resistanceagainstelectrostaticcharge,andsoon.Ifthese
specificrequirementsarenotmet,thelabelswillnotdispense
properly.Consultyourmediasupplierortestthemediatomake
sureitissuitableforyourapplication.
