Beforereadjustingthebreakshaft,makesurethatthereisno
othercauseforthewrinklingoftheribbon.(SeeChapter8,
"Troubleshooting"onpage73.)

Ifribbonwrinklingoccurs,youmayneedtoadjustthealignment
ofthefrontribbonbreakshaftsothatitrunsparalleltothe
printheadandtheribbonsupplyandrewindhubs.The
adjustmentisdoneusingastraightslotscrewthatislocated
immediatelybehindthefrontribbonbreakshaft.
·Iftheribbontendstoslideoutwards,turnthescrewcarefully
clockwise(forwards)tomovetheouterendofthebreakshaft
forward.
·Iftheribbontendstoslideinwards,turnthescrewcarefully
counterclockwise(backwards)tomovetheouterendofthe
breakshaftbackward.
