8.6.2 Stand-alone GPS Receiver [70320001]

Part Location:
The GPS receiver and mounting plate are attached in the radome bottom (see Figure 8-23, page 160).
Procedure:
1.
Turn off power to the antenna.
2.
Detach the SMB connector of the GPS antenna cable from the GPS receiver.
3.
Remove the four nuts holding the GPS receiver to its mounting plate and lift off the GPS receiver.
4.
Detach the power/signal connector from the old GPS receiver.
5.
Attach the power/signal connector to the new GPS receiver.
6.
Place the GPS receiver on its mounting plate and tighten the four nuts.
7.
Reattach the SMB connector of the GPS antenna cable.
8.
Turn on power to the antenna.
Diagnostics after Completing Repair:
1.
Run whereami and sunclock.
It may take up to 15 minutes to receive the GPS satellite ephemeris before the location and time correction
are shown.
