CAUSE
Level platform assembly
does not rotate freely on
cross-level beam.
Worn/broken level
platform drive belt.
Drive belt too tight.
Elevation drive belt has
lost a tooth.
Harness cables binding.
A pin is pushed in on the
pedestal harness at PCU
connector.
PCU is faulty.
Worn/broken drive belt.
Bad azimuth drive motor.
Bad pedestal harness.
Motor drive sprocket is
loose.
Azimuth pot [12574510]
faulty.
Pedestal harness faulty/
wire broken.
Worn/broken drive belt.
ACTION
Loosen nut (drawing 70918005,
page 55) on level platform
assembly.
Replace drive belt {8.4.34}.
Adjust belt {8.4.34, Step 5}.
Replace elevation drive belt
{8.4.32}.
Reposition harness.
Pull the pin back out, realign it,
and reseat the connector.
Replace PCU {8.4.1}
Replace drive belt {8.4.33}.
Replace azimuth drive motor
{8.4.2}.
Replace pedestal harness.
Replace motor harmess
(6003AL only).
Replace motor drive sprocket.
Replace azimuth pot {8.4.9}
(6003L only).
Replace pedestal harness.
Replace drive belt {8.4.35}.
