8.4.21 DC Power Injector [12791001]
The DC power injector supplies power to the feed (12 VDC).
Tools:
#2 Phillips screwdriver
Part Location:
The DC power injector is located on the azimuth post above the PCU. (See drawing 70909040, page 170,
and Figure 8-15, page 139.)
Procedure:
1.
Turn off power to the antenna.
2.
Remove the two coax connectors and the power connector from the power injector.
3.
Remove the four screws holding the power injector to the azimuth post and remove the old power
injector.
4.
Position the new power injector on the azimuth post and reattach it.
5.
Reattach the two coax connectors and the power connector to the power injector.
6.
Turn on power to the antenna.
Diagnostics After Completing Repair:
1.
Perform the tests of section 5.1, page 83, and observe the correct operation of the antenna.
2.
Track a pass and verify that data is being received.
