8.4.33 Azimuth Pot Drive Belt [12574524] 6003L Only

Part Location:
The azimuth pot drive belt (item 17 of drawing 70909017, page 50) connects the azimuth reduction stack to
the azimuth pot. See also Figure 8-18 on page 145.
Procedure:
1.
Turn off power to the antenna.
2.
Remove the two screws on the azimuth pot bracket (item 26 of drawing 70909017, page 50) holding it
to the azimuth motor train.
3.
Tip the azimuth pot and unhook the drive belt. Remove the old belt from the reduction stack.
4.
Slide the new drive belt over the reduction stack.
5.
Tip the azimuth pot and hook the drive belt onto the azimuth pot sprocket.
6.
Loosely attach the two screws (item 26) holding the azimuth pot to the azimuth motor train.
7.
Adjust the tension on the azimuth pot drive belt (loosen, adjust tension, tighten the two screws (item
26 of drawing 70909017, page 50) holding the azimuth pot to the azimuth motor train).

8.
Turn on power to the antenna.
Diagnostics After Completing Repairs:
1.
Perform tests of section 5.1, page 83, and observe the correct operation of the antenna, especially the
azimuth motions.
