8.4.7 Antenna Power Supply [12217001] [12217002] [PWR-220-SEA]

The antenna power supply converts 100/110/220 VAC into 24 VDC nominal to operate the equipment on
the antenna. The power supply operates the antenna and the GPS unit.
12217001
50 watt, 2.083 amp, 24 VDC, for land-based antenna
12217002
200 watt, 8.33 amp, 24 VDC, for sea-going antenna
PWR-220-SEA 220 watt, 9.1 amp, 24 VDC, for sea-going antenna
Tools:
5/16" open-end wrench or 5/16" nut driver or 100 mm (4") crescent wrench
Part Location:
See Figure 8-9 and below.
Procedure:
1.
Turn off power to the antenna.
2.
Detach the power connector from the power supply.
3.
Unbolt the power supply from its mounting plate and remove the old power supply.
4.
Place the new power supply on the studs and tighten the nuts to hold it to the mounting plate.
5.
Reattach the power connector. All power supplies use the same power connector.
6.
Turn on power to the antenna.
Diagnostics After Completing Repair:
1.
Verify that the startup sequence of antenna movements occurs correctly (see section 4.2.1, page 80
for the antenna startup sequence).
2.
Perform the tests of section 5.1, page

Sunalign the antenna and verify that the sun signal strength is found.
4.
Track a pass and verify that the data is valid.
