7.2.4.1 Antenna Controller (PCU)

CONDITION
No communication
with PCU.
Errors in
communications occur
when moving antenna.
Error message
"another task is using
this antenna".
There is 110/220 VAC
at antenna power
supply but no/low
voltage at the PCU.
PCU does not
complete
initialization.
TEST
ac 1 S
ac 1 az 180
ac 1 el 90
ac 1 S
Measure pins 14 and 15
of the DB15 connector
attached to the PCU.
14 GND, 15 +24 VDC.
Watch antenna on
powerup. See
section 4.3.2.
CAUSE
Serial cable not connected. Attach cable to HR300.
HR300 not turned on.
Antenna cable connector
is loose.
PCU is defective.
Another program is using
the antenna.
Power supply is bad.
PCU's antenna type is
incorrect.
= 112 for 6003L.
= 73 for 6003AL.

ACTION
Attach cable to Mux.
Turn on HR300.
Tighten connector.
Replace PCU {8.4.1}.
Wait for pass to complete.
Replace power supply {8.4.7}.
1. Turn off antenna power.
2. Unplug pedestal harness
connector from PCU (high
density).
3. Turn on antenna power.
PCU should complete
initialization.
4. Enter n0 value by typing:
ac <Return>

n0073. (example of n0=73)

6. Turn off antenna power.
7. Connect pedestal harness.
8. Turn on antenna power.
