Autorange
When you push the AUTORANGE button, the oscilloscope activates
or deactivates the Autorange function. An LED lights adjacent to the
AUTORANGE button that indicates when the function is active.
This function automatically adjusts setup values to track a signal. If
the signal changes, the setup continues to track the signal. When you
power on the oscilloscope, autoranging is always inactive.

The following conditions cause autorange to adjust settings:
H Too many or too few waveform periods for a clear display of the
trigger source (not in Vertical Only)
H Waveform amplitude too large or too small (not in Horizontal
Only)
H Ideal trigger level changes
