Q8. Is the dedicated line service available?

Value added services vary according to the provider: DP (Distribution Partner). Please
contact your DP to confirm the services available. For example, Stratos and KDDI
provide dedicated line service.

Q9. What is a SIM card?

The name SIM card is the abbreviation for Subscriber Identity Module Card.
We use the same type of SIM card with those used for mobile phones, but is one
dedicated for INMARSAT FB. Unless this SIM card is inserted, communication will not
be available. SIM cards used for other BGAN or mobile phones cannot be used.

Yes, it can.

Q11. Where can we purchase the SIM card?

You can purchase the SIM card by subscribing for (applying for the usage of) one with
the provider as usual. You can also purchase one from Furuno.
Q12. The PIN Code of the SIM does not get accepted.
If you fail to enter the correct PIN Code for 3 times, the PIN Code will be blocked. In
order to release this blocked status, enter the PUK1 Code. If you fail to enter the correct
PUK Code for 10 times, the PUK Code will be blocked.

Q13. What is stored in the SIM card?

Information such as IMSI, PIN/PUK Codes, APN, contacts, and SMS message.

Q14. I cannot access the Internet.

No. You can install the Antenna to any optional direction you like. FB-1250 has a bow
mark indicated on the Antenna base.
