7.1.4 RIP

This setting should be implemented by the administrator. The outline of the
procedure will be described here.
RIP stands for Routing Information Protocol. This function is equipped in the
communication unit.
If you connect a Router equipped with the RIP function to the communication unit, they
will be able to dynamically exchange route information.
For example, if you set RIP2, (1) for Tx RIP to LAN and Rx RIP from LAN, the
communication unit and the Router will exchange routing information similar to one set
in "Routing", and therefore, setting will not be required for "Routing".

1. Tx RIP to LAN

This will send the network information from the communication unit to the Router.
RIP1 and RIP2 are the RIP versions. Select the version according to the connected
router. RIP2 is a routing protocol which has been extended from RIP1.

2. Rx RIP from LAN

This will send the communication unit network information from the Router. RIP1
and RIP2 are the RIP versions. Select the version according to the connected Router.
