Configuring Backup ISP Accounts

Sometimes it may be desirable to configure more than one ISP account
for backup purposes. The Single User Account feature can be enabled
for all of these accounts, making it convenient to switch Internet Service
Providers in the event of a failure.
To configure a backup ISP,

Once you have done this, if you need to change from your primary ISP
to a backup ISP follow the steps below:

You will now be able to access the Internet through the backup ISP
Remote Node.

Configure your primary ISP using Menu 4, as described earlier in
this chapter.
Enter Menu 11, then select the number of an unused remote
node.
In Menu 11.1, choose a name for your backup ISP account, set
the Active field to No, and enter your outgoing login name,
password, and phone number(s). The Remote IP Address field
should be set to 1.1.1.1.
In Menu 11.3, set the remote node's subnet mask to 0.0.0.0, and
set RIP to None.
Save the new configuration.
Enter Menu 11 and select your Primary ISP.
In Menu 11.1, set the Active field to No.
Enter Menu 11 again and select your backup ISP.
In Menu 11.1, set the Active field to Yes.
