Checking an actuator

Requirements:
· digital multimeter with resistance measurement
·
Switch the electronics OFF on the remote.
·
Remove the rear cover, as described in chapter 8.1.1.
·
Take exact note of the positions of all cables and the sockets that they are connected to. Mark
the connectors and sockets or take a photograph with a digital camera.
Disconnect the motor plug (1) of the motor to be tested from the actuator module.
·
Check the electrical resistance at the
plug (1) of the actuator.
The plug can have a different shape than
show in the illustration.
·
If the resistance is close to infinity, the motor
is probably burnt out.
·
If the resistance is below 1 W, the motor has
a short-circuit.
·
The motor must be replaced in both cases.
