WHEELS CHECK

Inspect:

Damage/Bends
Replace.
NOTE:
Always balance the wheel when a tire or wheel
has been changed or replaced.
Never attempt even small repairs to the wheel.
2.
Tighten:
stem locknut
Valve Stem Locknut:
1.5 Nm (0.15 rn-kg, 1.1 ft-lb)
Ride conservatively after installing a tire to
allow it to seat itself properly on the rim.

1. Check:
Ignition timing
By the following steps.
Ignition timing check steps:
the timing plug
the Timing Light

to No. 1 or No.
cylinder spark plug lead.
up the engine and let it idle a t the
specified idle speed of 1,000 r/min.
check the stationary pointer
the timing window to vertify it is within
the required firing range indicated on the
flywheel.
Incorrect firing range
or pickup assembly (tightness damage).
Refer to "CHAPTER 7, ELECTRICAL" for
further information.
