MEMORY OPERATION

■ Memory channel selection

When the SUB Band setting is turned ON, you can se-
lect a Memory channel in the SUB Band as well as in
the MAIN Band. (p. 33)
• "
" appears when the SUB Band setting is ON.

D Selection in the VFO mode

q Push [VFO/MEMO] to select the VFO mode.
w Rotate [M-CH] to select a Memory channel num-
ber.
• Rotate clockwise to select a higher Memory channel
number; rotate counterclockwise to select a lower Mem-
ory channel number.
• All Memory channels, including blank channels, can be
selected.
• "
" appears when no information has been pro-
grammed into the Memory channel. (Blank channel)
e Push [VFO/MEMO] to select the Memory mode.
• "MEMO" and contents of the Memory channel appear.

D Selection in the Memory mode

q Push [VFO/MEMO] to select the Memory mode.
w Rotate [M-CH] to select a Memory channel.
• Rotate clockwise to select a higher Memory channel
number; rotate counterclockwise to select a lower Mem-
ory channel number.
• All Memory channels, including blank channels, can be
selected.
• "
" appears when no information has been pro-
grammed into the Memory channel. (Blank channel)
• Memory channels can also be selected using the micro-
phone [UP]/[DN] keys. In such case, the blank channels
are skipped.

■ Call channel selection

Each frequency band has its own Call channel. Fac-
tory default frequency and operating modes are pro-
grammed into the Call channel. Change these to suit
your operating needs. (see page 141)
q Push [CALL•GPS] to select the Call channel.
• A capital "C" appears.
w Push [CALL•GPS] again to return to the previous
screen display.
