2. Set the documents to be scanned on the document
table, and select the desired settings in the related
application software in your computer.
3. Dial your own fax number.
* Your fax number may be input with the keypad and
any abbreviated number or one-touch key under
which your own fax number is registered.
4. Press the START key. The documents will be scanned
and the data sent to your computer.

(7) Turning the Class 1 mode ON

In order to communicate with your computer, it is necessary to turn the Class 1 mode ON.
To turn this mode ON, carry out the following procedure.
* To cancel the procedure part way through, press the
STOP/RESET key. The fax will revert to the initial mode.
1. Press the FUNCTION key 6 times.
2. Press the ENTER FUNCTION key.
3. Press the FUNCTION key 7 times.
4. Press the ENTER FUNCTION key.
5. Use the keypad to enter the number "61".
